The overall objectives of the BTSF Training Programme/Course on Harmonising the implementation of EU Legal requirements - Residues and article 118 are:
- To provide participants with the necessary information and skills for a successful participation, as national expert, in audits carried out as part of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety programme.
- To equip National Experts to function effectively as audit team members under the applicable EU official control framework.
- To provie participants with targeted information about the tasks and responsibilities of national experts
The course will consist of a series of simulation exercises replicating real audit scenarios drawn from DG SANTE's audit experience in both Member States and third countries, designed to place National Experts in authentic audit team situations and expose them to the range of technical, procedural, and interpersonal challenges encountered in practice.
The training course will focus on two distinctive areas:
- audits to be conducted in third countries in relation to the prohibition of use of certain antimicrobial medicinal products in animals and animal products intended for export to the Union, as laid down in Article 118(1) of Regulation (EU) 2019/6 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
- field of residues of pharmacologically active substances, pesticides and contaminants, with a view to building capacity for participation in European Commission audits conducted in both Member States and third countries.
This Training Programme has been designed for the profiles and positions described below. Please verify compliance with the selection criteria before submitting or validating applications.
- MS National Experts who accompany and support Unit F4 on their audits to member States and prominently third countries in the area of residues of VMPs and on new listing requirements emanating from article 118.
