The overall objectives of the BTSF Training Programme/Course on Control Plans on Residues of Veterinary Medicinal Products are:
- The overall aim of the training is to cover theoretical part (legislation) and practical examples in order to provide some insight and clarify certain aspects in particular in relation to the establishment of national plans for VMPR. Member States should correctly understand how to interpret the analytical results as regards the enforcement in case of non-compliances. Member States will be informed on the best available practices as regards the sampling procedure.
The course addresses the following topics:
- Legal background: Legislation on VMPR control plans (CDR (EU) 2022/1644, CIR (EU) 2022/1646) in the relation to Regulation (EU) 2017/625
- Design of the plans: practical considerations (national, regional, local aspects)
- Risk analysis – criteria to be considered for control plans
- Criteria for sampling strategy for each of the plans
- Transmission of samples to laboratory and criteria for choice of laboratory
- Coordination & Submission & Reporting to EFSA/EC
This Training Programme has been designed for the profiles and positions described below. Please verify compliance with the selection criteria before submitting or validating applications.
Participants should in principle have at least 3 years of experience in drafting, assessing, managing or advising about residue control plans and/or their coordination and implementation.
However, participants with less than 3 years of experience or who have been appointed to do this work for the coming year are also eligible for participation on the condition that the participant has an in-depth knowledge of the legislation related to residue control plans.
Participant must:
- Be officials responsible for the establishment of control plans from the EU MSs and certain countries with special agreements (CH, IS, NO, UK(NI)).
- The participants must be able to understand and express themselves in English.
