The overall objectives of the BTSF Training Programme/Course on Production and trade of bivalve molluscs within and into the EU are to give participants:
- a good understanding of the risks posed by the consumption of bivalve molluscs;
- the legislation that is intended to provide the basis for control of those risks;
- the practical application of those controls.
Description
The course addresses the following topics:
- the requirements, practical application and challenges in classifying and monitoring production areas;
- the required treatment of bivalve molluscs;
- certification requirements in relation to movements within and into the EU;
- the general rules and controls applying to food business operators;
- the application of good practices to the application of the legislation.
